4 months old

Isla turned 4 months old this past Tuesday. She goes in to the doctor today for her 4 month check up today, and we're anxious to see how much she weighs and how tall she is, as she's growing like a weed. She is rolling over on her own all the time and is even able to scoot her knees in a bit. I think she's going to be an early crawler. We also discovered that she has a tooth coming in on top this past weekend. That wasn't so fun! If only she could grow some hair!

Father's Day Weekend

We were out and about all weekend. Friday night we headed to Southlands for the summer concert series, as one of Zums' co-workers was performing. Isla enjoyed the music but was beat and ready to head home by 7. Saturday we took Isla to her first festival as we hit the Highlands Street Fest and grabbed some Mexican food on our way home at Rosalinda's. Yum! We spent Father's Day hiking at Castlewood Canyon followed by a Whole Foods picnic in the park. We got our fair share of sunshine and fresh air this weekend!

And some more pics...

Family Photos

We did a photo session with Farrah a couple of weeks ago and got some great family shots. Isla wasn't haven't a super smiley day, like usual, but we're still so happy with the results. She's changed so much since these were taken!

16 weeks old

Twisting and turning in her little tub

Susan and Isla
Spence and Isla at the horse races

Little Lady Isla just keeps growing and changing by the day. Life at home is a little tougher as she's always rolling over on her own, so we have to keep a constant eye on her. She's outgrown the bassinet in the pac'n'play so naps in her crib are going to have to start now. Last Saturday we met alot of my family out at the racetrack where Isla got to hang with her favorite cousin Spence. Saturday we headed to my friend Karina's for brunch with the girls, and she got to meet Susan for the first time. She continues to love the water, as we've taken her swimming several times and bathe her daily now. She is going through clothes sizes like crazy and wore a 9 month outfit today. Can't believe she'll be 4 months old next week!

15 weeks old

Isla is now 15 weeks old. She's growing and changing by the day. She is rolling and rolling, though once she gets on her stomach, she doesn't know what to do with her right arm tucked underneath her. She likes being on her tummy and holds her head up so well. We took her to the pool for the first time on Saturday and again this afternoon. She loves being in the water and even fell asleep in her raft today amidst all the screaming kids. We've started giving her a bottle for her last feed a half hour earlier at 7:30 as she's so tired, and she's sleeping straight through to 5:30-6am. Long may this continue!

Start of summer

Summer has gotten off to a busy start for the Graham Clan. This week was short, as we got back from San Diego Monday evening. The backyard landscaping is just about complete, and pictures are coming. We bought a grill on Wednesday, and we put it to use on Thursday evening as we had the whole Hammes family over along with my mom and dad. My parents stayed with us Thursday evening, as my dad had surgery on his ankle Friday. They will be back up here this next week for a follow up appointment. Isla loves having company at her house!

Pool Time

We took Isla to our community swimming pool for the first time this evening. I am happy to report that she loved it! She loves bath time so were hoping that she'd love the pool, and she does. Zums held her and swam around with her most of the time, then we put her in her new float which she liked as well. It's really warmed up here the last few days, so we'll be spending lots of afternoons cooling off at the pool.
