Gearing up

We had my 32 week appointment yesterday with our favorite OB, Dr. Goodman. Everything is looking perfect, as I'm measuring right on track, heartbeat is strong and my health continues to be strong with no major symptons. I've got a goal to do 20 miles on the treadmill this week!

I got a new Skip Hop diaper bag from my sister for Christmas. Zums gave me a Labor Looks hospital gown, so I can be fashionable during delivery...I'll just need a little lip gloss as well. We're on the hunt this week for a dresser for the nursery, then should be just about set in the princess room.

Christmas Time

It was a white Christmas here, and luckily the roads weren't too treacherous, as we were able to make it to my sister's for Christmas Eve. Christmas Day we opened WAY too many presents with the nephews, then headed to my cousin Dwana's for Christmas Brunch. We hung out at Mom and Dad's for the afternoon before heading out to the Willhite's for another round of food. We are both very much loking forward to the upcoming week off. IT's still crazy to think we'll have a 10 month old little princess at this time next year. CLICK HERE to view all of our holiday pics!

Dinner with Anna

My dear friend and sorority sister Anna Hoff and her boyfriend Jules flew in from Seattle to spend the holidays in Colorado with her family. I've known Anna since our freshman year of college, as we were in the same pledge class. Like me, she's from a small town in CO - Ault...A Unique Little Town. It had been 5 years since we'd seen each other and it was so great to catch up with her and have her meet Zums for the first time. Everyone but me got to enjoy the tastey microbrews at Wynkoop...soon enough!

Visit from the Eastmans

Our dear friends Becky and Mike flew in on Friday night from Boston...just before the big snowstorm hit the east coast. We had a great weekend with them reminiscing, catching up and spending quality time together. We had a full house on Saturday night, as my parents came up, along with my brother in from DC and Becky's cousin Denny. It was a very late night for us all!

Registry complete!

We have a deluxe Babies R Us store just 2 minutes up the road from us. So, after several visits to the store and some help from friends with babies, our registry is complete. Time is flying along, and my shower on January 16 will soon be here!

Company Holiday Party

Friday night was my company's holiday party at the Denver Art Museum downtown. I feel lucky to be working for a prospering and profitable company during these tough economic times. We had a festive holiday weekend doing lots of shopping and getting presents wrapped and placed under the tree. Just a few more names to shop for and cross off our list!

May your days be merry and bright...

I always appreciate Zums' willingness to go along with my brilliant photo ideas. There's no better prop than Christmas lights!

Party Time

We had our first annual holiday cocktail party last night. It was our first time entertaining in the new house, and it was great to have everyone over. We'll be enjoying the leftover food and drink for quite some time.

Yoga time

Based on the recommendation of a couple of friends, I checked out a yoga studio - Belly Bliss - in Cherry Creek last week. I'm more of a cardio workout girl, but I knew I needed to find my zen. I ended up buying a package of 10 courses, with the goal being to go once a week throughout the next 11 weeks. I've enjoyed the last two classes and know that my body is going to benefit from going and the stretching and breathing. Plus, I like to check out the other preggo women and their belly sizes. Right now, I'm feeling my bun in the oven is below average in size, as there was a girl there this week just 3 weeks ahead of me that I could have sworn was due next week. Long may the exercise continue for me!

Our first real baby gift!

We got a big package in the mail yesterday from one of my favorite work clients. It's a darling Baby Einstein playmat. Yea...real baby stuff! With the countdown in the 70s, things are getting a little more real for us by the day.
