I got a new Skip Hop diaper bag from my sister for Christmas. Zums gave me a Labor Looks hospital gown, so I can be fashionable during delivery...I'll just need a little lip gloss as well. We're on the hunt this week for a dresser for the nursery, then should be just about set in the princess room.

We had my 32 week appointment yesterday with our favorite OB, Dr. Goodman. Everything is looking perfect, as I'm measuring right on track, heartbeat is strong and my health continues to be strong with no major symptons. I've got a goal to do 20 miles on the treadmill this week!

It was a white Christmas here, and luckily the roads weren't too treacherous, as we were able to make it to my sister's for Christmas Eve. Christmas Day we opened WAY too many presents with the nephews, then headed to my cousin Dwana's for Christmas Brunch. We hung out at Mom and Dad's for the afternoon before heading out to the Willhite's for another round of food. We are both very much loking forward to the upcoming week off. IT's still crazy to think we'll have a 10 month old little princess at this time next year. CLICK HERE to view all of our holiday pics!

My dear friend and sorority sister Anna Hoff and her boyfriend Jules flew in from Seattle to spend the holidays in Colorado with her family. I've known Anna since our freshman year of college, as we were in the same pledge class. Like me, she's from a small town in CO - Ault...A Unique Little Town. It had been 5 years since we'd seen each other and it was so great to catch up with her and have her meet Zums for the first time. Everyone but me got to enjoy the tastey microbrews at Wynkoop...soon enough!
Our dear friends Becky and Mike flew in on Friday night from Boston...just before the big snowstorm hit the east coast. We had a great weekend with them reminiscing, catching up and spending quality time together. We had a full house on Saturday night, as my parents came up, along with my brother in from DC and Becky's cousin Denny. It was a very late night for us all!

Friday night was my company's holiday party at the Denver Art Museum downtown. I feel lucky to be working for a prospering and profitable company during these tough economic times. We had a festive holiday weekend doing lots of shopping and getting presents wrapped and placed under the tree. Just a few more names to shop for and cross off our list!

Based on the recommendation of a couple of friends, I checked out a yoga studio - Belly Bliss - in Cherry Creek last week. I'm more of a cardio workout girl, but I knew I needed to find my zen. I ended up buying a package of 10 courses, with the goal being to go once a week throughout the next 11 weeks. I've enjoyed the last two classes and know that my body is going to benefit from going and the stretching and breathing. Plus, I like to check out the other preggo women and their belly sizes. Right now, I'm feeling my bun in the oven is below average in size, as there was a girl there this week just 3 weeks ahead of me that I could have sworn was due next week. Long may the exercise continue for me!

We had a very busy and productive day. In over 4 years of marriage, this is the first time that we have had a Christmas tree of our own, so we went with a blue and silver Scotland theme for our first tree. The stockings are hung, the greenery is wrapped and the pine candle is lit. We still need to put up some outdoor decorations, as our neighbors have gone ALL OUT and are putting us to shame.
We journeyed to my sister's in Eads for Thanksgiving day. It was an unseasonably warm day in the high 60s, and we all got to absorb some of the sunshine. I contributed delicious praline sweet potatoes and 2 homemade pecan pies. It was my first time making my favorite pie, and I do think I deserve a few pats on the back. Already thinking of making them for Christmas day! We're already looking forward to next year's Thanksgiving when we will be our own little family and will be joined by the Namboothiri family. The holiday season is underway!

As if having a new baby isn't reason enough to get a new camera! Our 4 year old Sony Cybershot bit the dust finally, so a new camera was in order and was an anniversery present from my parents. Just in time for the holidays! The Canon Elph is ready!
We had a super sports weekend this past weekend, as we headed to the Nuggets game on Saturday night and the Broncos game on Sunday afternoon. While we had a great time at both, we unfortunately learned that I have a 2 hour time frame on sitting in the tight little chairs before I get extremely uncomfortable. Next time we'll have a plan to get up and walk around more often. Sunday was a beautiful day for tailgating, and it was great to see the Seufer clan! The game was not-so-good, as the Broncos played terribly, which made for a very happy Charger fan in Zums.

Based on the recommendations from Geri and JRo and a generous early baby gift from my mother-in-law, we've ordered the Valco Tri Mode stroller and car seat attacher. The great part is that it's a jogging stroller as well, so hopefully next summer I'll be jogging around the reservoir with Baby Graham. We'll be cruising in style in no time!

Oooh la la...pink pink pink! We painted the nursery Saturday morning, and it was a much easier task than anticipated, and we were both very happy with the result. Today we put the crib together (with no instructions), and that was a way bigger challenge than anticipated. It's all put together, though we can't ensure if it's 100% correct and my sister will have to give it an evalutation next time she's up. We were going to hang up the drapes today, but unfortunately, I didn't feel the need to measure the window, and the 84" rod I purchased was still too short. Lesson learned - measure before purchasing. Next steps: dresser/changing table, rocking chair and decor!

I had my 24 week appointment this past week, and all is looking well. Time is flying, and I am still feeling great. I'm still hitting the gym at least 5 days a week and am looking forward to starting pre-natal yoga this week. I've had to invest in some proper maternity jeans and tops that fit. May the ease of this pregnancy continue!
Last Saturday we handed out candy to all the trick or treaters then headed downtown to a delicious dinner at Capitol Grill. I had a not-so-fun non-alcoholic martini, while Zums enjoyed some champagne and wine. Very very good food and we'll definitely be heading there again!

Wednesday, October 28, was our four year wedding anniversery. We headed just an hour and a half away to Estes Park in the heart of the Roosevelt National Forrest for the day/night on Friday. It was such a beautiful setting, as there was still plenty of snow on the ground. We walked around all the cute little shops, grabbed some coffee, did a wine tasting and had dinner at the lodge restaurant. We stayed in a quaint cabin at Mary's Lake Lodge, complete with fireplace and all. Very nice and relaxing mountain getaway!
The snow started on Tuesday evening and didn't stop until late on Thursday evening. We ended up getting about 2 feet total at our house, which I think is much more than they got in other parts of the city. My office was closed on Thursday, so we both had a cozy day in working from home. Fears of this type of snowstorm around February 20 have entered my mind!

The biggest and most daunting house project is now complete - we got the drapes hung in the living room on Saturday. Allelujah! We ordered the fabric a few months ago, and my dear friends Brandy and Jamie did a fine sewing job on Wednesday night. Zums and I borrowed the Pfalmers' ladder and were ready to hit this project head on Saturday afternoon. It ended up taking 3 hours and many frustrations, but we are both elated with the end result and the way that it's transformed the living room. Plus, with winter just around the corner, it should really help keep the heat in. Next project...painting the nursery!

It was a beautiful weekend in the 70s in Denver and my family was up. Our plan was to hit the corn maze and pumpkin patch on Saturday, but it looks like everyone else in the city had the same plan and after seeing the lines of cars and lines of people, we opted out of that. We headed to Morrison for lunch then hiked around Red Rock on the clearest day imaginable!

We ordered the above bedding this week, though we had it picked out a few weeks ago. We're planning to do the nursery walls a light pink to match the border color. My sister is bringing up Spencer and Rhett's crib this weekend, so we're keeping it all in the family. The goal is to have it completed by Thanksgiving time!
