The tree is up!

We had a very busy and productive day. In over 4 years of marriage, this is the first time that we have had a Christmas tree of our own, so we went with a blue and silver Scotland theme for our first tree. The stockings are hung, the greenery is wrapped and the pine candle is lit. We still need to put up some outdoor decorations, as our neighbors have gone ALL OUT and are putting us to shame.

Thanksgiving Time

We journeyed to my sister's in Eads for Thanksgiving day. It was an unseasonably warm day in the high 60s, and we all got to absorb some of the sunshine. I contributed delicious praline sweet potatoes and 2 homemade pecan pies. It was my first time making my favorite pie, and I do think I deserve a few pats on the back. Already thinking of making them for Christmas day! We're already looking forward to next year's Thanksgiving when we will be our own little family and will be joined by the Namboothiri family. The holiday season is underway!

The camera queen is back!

As if having a new baby isn't reason enough to get a new camera! Our 4 year old Sony Cybershot bit the dust finally, so a new camera was in order and was an anniversery present from my parents. Just in time for the holidays! The Canon Elph is ready!

It's game time, baby!

We had a super sports weekend this past weekend, as we headed to the Nuggets game on Saturday night and the Broncos game on Sunday afternoon. While we had a great time at both, we unfortunately learned that I have a 2 hour time frame on sitting in the tight little chairs before I get extremely uncomfortable. Next time we'll have a plan to get up and walk around more often. Sunday was a beautiful day for tailgating, and it was great to see the Seufer clan! The game was not-so-good, as the Broncos played terribly, which made for a very happy Charger fan in Zums.

Stroller on the way

Based on the recommendations from Geri and JRo and a generous early baby gift from my mother-in-law, we've ordered the Valco Tri Mode stroller and car seat attacher. The great part is that it's a jogging stroller as well, so hopefully next summer I'll be jogging around the reservoir with Baby Graham. We'll be cruising in style in no time!

Starting on the nursery

Oooh la la...pink pink pink! We painted the nursery Saturday morning, and it was a much easier task than anticipated, and we were both very happy with the result. Today we put the crib together (with no instructions), and that was a way bigger challenge than anticipated. It's all put together, though we can't ensure if it's 100% correct and my sister will have to give it an evalutation next time she's up. We were going to hang up the drapes today, but unfortunately, I didn't feel the need to measure the window, and the 84" rod I purchased was still too short. Lesson learned - measure before purchasing. Next steps: dresser/changing table, rocking chair and decor!

25 weeks and growing...

I had my 24 week appointment this past week, and all is looking well. Time is flying, and I am still feeling great. I'm still hitting the gym at least 5 days a week and am looking forward to starting pre-natal yoga this week. I've had to invest in some proper maternity jeans and tops that fit. May the ease of this pregnancy continue!

Happy Birthday Spencer!

Our nephew turned 3 yesterday, November 7. Though we didn't make it down to Eads for his party, we made sure there was a Toys 'R' Us delivery of the Play Dough ice cream set for him on the big day!

Dinner at Capitol Grill

Last Saturday we handed out candy to all the trick or treaters then headed downtown to a delicious dinner at Capitol Grill. I had a not-so-fun non-alcoholic martini, while Zums enjoyed some champagne and wine. Very very good food and we'll definitely be heading there again!

Welcome to the world, Jackson!

Our future son-in-law Jackson Jay Namboothiri was born to our best friends Sam and Jay this morning, weighing in at a mighty 5lbs. 2oz. We are so happy and excited for them and thankful that mother and baby are doing well!
