Busy Summer Weekend

Our nephew Rhett was playing in the state all star baseball game this past weekend, so we were both able to catch his team's second game on Friday over lunch time. They won both of their games on Friday. That night I headed to the Rio to meet up with Karina, Heather and see Susan, who was in town from Omaha. SOOO good to get together with old friends and catch up, reminisce and laugh so hard. Saturday we watched Rhett's team lose a heartbreaker of a game in the final inning. That afternoon, the Fell fam finally got to see our house in the painted and furnished version. We spent the afternoon at the pool soaking up the sun. Sunday, I put on a brunch spread for Karina, Susan, Tish, Heather and Heather's baby Colin. Rhett's team got beat out of the tournament that day, so the sorrows were drowned in a fun filled afternoon at the pool. Summertime in full swing!

4th of July in San Diego

It was lots of quality friend time in San Diego last weekend. We got in Thursday and headed straight to our fave Mexican restaurant Casa Guadalajara to meet Mike and Cristina, who are expecting their first baby in late August. Cristina looks great, and we are excited for Baby Oliver to get here...and for Baby Namboothiri to arrive in November!
Friday evening we went to the Pang house for a big bbq rib dinner and some Rock Band. Looking forward to Susy and Jason's big 40th birthday bash in Vegas in September!

The 4th of July saw Zums and Jay at the Padres game, while Sam and I had a lovely time at afternoon tea at the Westgate. That evening we went to the Jenkins house. Barb made us the best lasagna ever, and we loved the cozy time around the fire. Now, time for the SD friends to make their way out to Colorado!

TV and sound system installed!

Zums made a contact through his job that does entertainment system installation. The guy had recently installed a system in a $46 million dollar house in Florida, so we were a small potatoes job for him. Still, we feel pretty posh with our 50" plasma tv and surround sound speakers in the walls. Just makes us a little more anxious to get in the drapery fabric for our big west facing windows that get some pretty intense sun in the afternoons and evening. Now, if we can just figure out how to get the live and dead miller moths out of the fireplace!
