Memorial Weekend in San Diego

We took Isla on her first plane trip as we headed to San Diego last Thursday for a long Memorial Weekend. We had a great time catching up with all of our friends and introducing Isla to everyone. She was a great little traveler! The weather couldn't have been more perfect, which was great as we were expecting the typical May Grey for this time of year. We stayed 2 nights with our friends Mike and Cristina and got to meet their 9 month old big boy Liam. Friday we met up with my friend Shalyse and her darling girls Nala and Cora. We spent Friday afternoon at my friend Bridget's parents' beach house. We put Isla in her little bikini and hit the beach for a little photo shoot. We then spent 2 nights with Suzy and Jason and got to catch up with all of them and their family. We spent alot of time with the Namboothiri's and their little one Jackson. On our last night, we had a wonderful dinner with Jim and Barb. It all went by too quick!

3 months old

Isla turned 3 months old on Saturday. We spent the day in Fort Collins for Sonia's graduation then headed to Wine Experience for dinner that evening. She was on her best behavior all day! She is still a champion sleeper snoozing about 9 hours straight each night in her crib. Summer is around the corner and we've been getting out for lots of walks lately. We're gearing up for her first plane trip, as we're headed to San Diego for Memorial Weekend.

Sonia's Graduation

We headed up to Fort Collins for the day on Saturday for Sonia's graduation. It's hard to believe that she was 3 when I started watching her when I was in college, and now she is graduating from high school! It was a great day with the Nelsons, as always, and it was great to have them meet Isla.

We had an active weekend and were out and about enjoying the nice weather. After getting the lawn aerated and fertilized, we were able to mow it and get all the weeds out. Saturday we headed to Cherry Creek for a wine tasting at The Vineyard Wine Shop. We then hit the mall, where Isla loved facing outward in the Baby Bjorn and looking at everything. Yesterday the weather was fantastic. We enjoyed a long walk, checked out some grills and patio furniture at Lowes and enjoyed some wine on the deck. The landscaping of the backyard kicks off today and we can't wait to have it completed before summer begins!

Isla has been spending alot of time on her Baby Einstein ocean playmat. She's become aware of her hands and the ability to grab objects.

11 weeks old

Terribly mismatched outfit, but darling nonetheless!

Time is flying along, and our little lady was 11 weeks old on Monday. She's becoming so much more alert and interactive. She continues to be super smiley!
